A late afternoon view of the Eiffel Tower and a carousel beside the Seine.
This shot brings to mind my favourite photographer, Eugène Atget, who produced thousands of photographs of Paris over a couple of decades but never included a view of the Eiffel Tower in any of his images.
He was most likely one of the many Parisians who detested it from the moment it was proposed and would have spent the rest of his life intentionally ignoring it. Considering he spent his career framing the mundane to look extraordinary, I'd like to know how he would have photographed this.
Photographed with a Hasselblad 500C/M and 50mm lens on b/w negative film.
