The Myer Music Bowl is situated in Melbourne's Domain Gardens, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens. This shot was taken from the top of a lighting tower on top of the highest part of the Bowl's grounds. A friend who worked in the Collins Place towers at the time recalled how each floor had instructions as to which blinds were to be closed for the night, to create the illuminated tree in the windows.
Photographed with a Fuji 617 Panorama camera and 90mm lens on transparency film. The format of the film used in this camera is 3 times wider than a square medium format frame, so the reproduction quality is exceptionally high.
