December 2000 marked the midway point of removing and replacing the aluminium panels which make up the canopy of the Bowl. This in no way affected the spectacle of the annual Christmas Eve event and provided a once-in-a-generation opportunity to capture the beauty of the bare cable design.
This sepia version of the colour image has been very popular with those involved in the project.
Photographed with a Fuji 617 Panorama camera and 90mm lens on b/w transparency film. The format of the film used in this camera is 3 times wider than a square medium format frame, so the reproduction quality is exceptionally high.
